Hey Yardbarkers,

I'm sure you have heard or read the rumor that "I was arrested in Champaign, Illinois on June 9th" but I wanted to let you know that it is not true. The only explanation I have is that my wallet was stolen while I was still in school and someone might be impersonating me.

During the time I was "supposedly arrested," I was actually here in Florida at OTA's. I am fully dedicated to my football career and learning the playbook so that I can be affective this season. As I said before, I am very thankful to be a part of the Miami Dolphins and I do not want to do anything that would bring any negative publicity to me or the team.

LESSON TO BE LEARNED: YOU CAN'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR OR READ!!

Hey YB's. What cha know?

Man, thanks so much for all the welcome messages and comments everyone has posted. It's been great reading all of them and knowing that you guys are supporting and rooting for me. I had a great last couple of weeks. I did a radio interview the other day which was cool. They just asked me a little about what I'm going through and my relationship with the team. I did tell them I was enjoying Miami but I am having to get used to the weather. This humidity takes it all out of me. I usually take a little nap once I get back to the hotel. I know this conditioning is all going to pay off during the season though. I tell you what....One thing I do really miss is my grandmama's cookin'. We get done on July 9th and I am heading straight back to DC for a good ole home cooked meal. Ma - You better be ready.

What's up Yardbarkers? It's me, your boy Vontae Davis with the Miami Dolphins. Man, that feels so great to say. I have to admit...The day of the draft when I got the call was one of the most exciting days of my life. I can't even describe the feeling that I felt when the call came in. Being chosen in the 1st round just like my brother, Vernon, that was such a great feeling. The only other set of brothers chosen in the first round were Eli and Peyton Manning, Now they can add Vernon and Vontae Davis to that list. Naw but really, I am very thankful to be a part of such a great team like the dolphins and to be working with Coach Parcells. I'm enjoying my time here in Miami. My days consist of working on plays with my teammates and learning from the Veterans that have taken me under their wing. The weather here is great and I'm getting to enjoy a little of what Miami has to offer but my main focus right now is learning the playbook and proving myself out on the field. Aight YB's.
