MLB strikeout props for 4/26: This number's scary, but don't be wary

We had an unlucky night in strikeout props on Thursday, as Cole Ragans was on pace to hit his over but was pulled after just 76 pitches due to a rain delay. Oh well, all we can do is bounce back with our three favorite K props for Friday's MLB slate. 

Chris Bassitt under 5.5 Ks (+112 FanDuel)

Dodgers vs. Blue Jays, 7:07 p.m. ET

Chris Bassitt's career seems to be on the downswing. The Toronto Blue Jays starter is on pace to record the lowest chase rate, the second-lowest whiff rate and the second-highest chase contact rate of his career. He ranks in the 11th percentile aong qualified pitchers this season in chase rate and the 17th percentile in whiff rate. The Los Angeles Dodgers have the fourth-lowest chase rate in the league this year, so we love the plus-money price on this under. 

Trevor Williams under 3.5 Ks (+112 FD)

Nationals vs. Marlins, 7:10 p.m. ET

This is another great spot for an under. Trevor Williams ranks in the 19th percentile among qualified pitchers in whiff rate, and he's struggled to put away the Miami Marlins in his career. Current Marlins hitters have a 16.3 percent strikeout rate in 92 combined plate appearances against Williams. Miami also has the third-fewest strikeouts against right-handed pitching this year. 

Zac Gallen over 7.5 Ks (+120 FD)

Diamondbacks vs. Mariners, 9:40 p.m. ET

This is a big number, but we couldn't ask for a better matchup for Zac Gallen. The Seattle Mariners rank dead last in MLB in strikeout rate (27.6 percent), 28th in chase contact rate (50.7 percent) and 23rd in whiff rate (27.3 percent). In 40 combined plate appearances against Gallen, current Mariners hitters have a 35.0 percent K rate. Gallen has cleared 7.5 strikeouts in only one of his five starts this season, but this is a great spot for the Arizona Diamondbacks ace.
